Mrs. Samantha Forbes

Mrs. Samantha Forbes currently teaches all Reading Readiness through Advanced K5 classes at Imparting Wisdom Christian Academy.  In addition, Mrs. Forbes serves as the Social Media Director for Imparting Wisdom Ministries, Inc.

She graduated high school with honors in 2004 from Tomlin Family Home School. In 2020, she also graduated with honors from Liberty University where she earned a degree in Education. Throughout her college studies, she applied special focus in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Development, Learning & Behavioral Disorders, Religious Education, and Christian Music. She has completed additional training courses and workshops designed for educators from both Pensacola Christian College and Accelerated Christian Education Ministries as she continues to prioritize her professional development as a Christian educator.
She also brings with her to IWCA over 16 years of valuable experience in the field of Christian education:

  • 2005-2013 – With a focus on Gospel/Christian music, Mrs. Forbes taught private music lessons to ages 6 to Adult and early childhood music & movement classes to ages 6 months to 7 years.

  • 2010-2013 – Mrs. Forbes worked part-time as a teacher & monitor at two different Christian schools in the area. She taught various subjects and worked with students from toddlers to teens.

  • 2013-2021 – Mrs. Forbes served as Activities Coordinator for Christian Home Education Network (CHEN), a support group serving homeschooling families in central and eastern Kentucky. She taught co-op classes and planned many educational field trips for the group.

  • 2012-2021 – Mrs. Forbes homeschooled her own children, ranging in age at the time from preschool through 7th grade.

  • Mrs. Forbes loves the Lord and has been a born again Christian since she was 9 years old. She is very happily married to her husband, Alan, and they have three children who attend IWCA. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Forbes enjoys spending time with her family, singing, playing various musical instruments, reading, writing, and volunteering at a local Christian radio station
